Nacon and developer Passtech Games have confirmed a Ravenswatch Switch 2 release for this fall. A free content update called Song of Thieves also launches May 27 on all current platforms, giving players new content ahead of the port.
Ravenswatch is a roguelike action game built around dark reinterpretations of fairy tale mythology. Players choose from a roster of corrupted heroes, figures drawn from classic storybook characters reimagined as something more dangerous, and fight through procedurally generated stages alone or in co-op with up to four players. Combat is fast-paced, and builds change between runs, giving the game the replay structure typical of the genre.
Passtech has supported Ravenswatch through multiple free updates since its full release, adding new playable heroes and expanding enemy variety without charging for the additions. Song of Thieves is the latest in that line, and it arrives before the Ravenswatch Switch 2 port launches this fall.
What Song of Thieves adds to Ravenswatch
The central addition in Song of Thieves is The Thieves, a new enemy faction built around its own encounter structure. Players will find this faction in Thieves’ Stashes, a new type of location that appears in one of four varieties: Treasure rooms, Trap rooms, Cursed rooms, and Mirror rooms. Each room type carries different risks and rewards, pushing players to weigh whether entering is worth it mid-run.
Two new mechanics also come with the update. Magical Harps appear in runs and trigger swift Melodies when activated, though Passtech has not described the specific effects different Melodies produce. Stingy Jack is introduced as a separate named threat, distinct from The Thieves faction, with no mechanical details disclosed at this point.
Multiplayer pause functionality is part of this update as well. Before Song of Thieves, co-op players had no way to pause shared sessions, something the game’s community had flagged since early access. The announcement references additional improvements without listing them.
Ravenswatch Switch 2 release and current platforms
The Ravenswatch Switch 2 version has a fall 2026 release window. No specific launch date or pricing has been given. The game currently runs on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, the original Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. The Switch 2 port brings the game to Nintendo’s new hardware and fills out Ravenswatch’s platform coverage.
Nacon and Passtech have not said whether the Switch 2 version will receive performance improvements compared to the original Switch release. There is also no word on upgrade pricing for players who already own the game on Nintendo’s previous hardware. Both questions are likely to be addressed as the Ravenswatch Switch 2 release date approaches.
