GTA 6 map size teased in Brazilian retailer listings

Two Brazilian retailer listings have revealed early details about the GTA 6 map size, with one page calling it “the most massive, dense, and insane map ever created by Rockstar Games.” Both listings were edited to remove those descriptions after screenshots circulated, but the text had already spread across gaming communities.

Amazon Brazil’s pre-order page for Grand Theft Auto 6 stated that players would “explore Vice City, beaches, swamps, small towns, and various regions of Leonida.” That wording treats Vice City as one location within a larger state rather than the entire setting, pointing to a map that covers considerably more ground than a single city.

Leonida is the game’s fictional stand-in for Florida, first shown in the GTA 6 reveal trailer published by Rockstar Games in December 2023. The Amazon listing’s framing of Vice City as a destination within Leonida matches what was visible in that trailer, where the camera passed through multiple distinct environments beyond the city itself.

Retailer Kabum expands on GTA 6 map size

Brazilian retailer Kabum went further in its own listing. The page described the game’s world as “the most massive, dense, and insane map ever created by Rockstar Games” and included a longer description: “Traverse the neon-lit streets of a pulsating Vice City, dominate dangerous swamps, crowded beaches, and realistic suburbs that cover the state of Leonida from end to end. Every inch of the scenery has been designed to deliver brutal immersion and total freedom.”

The Kabum description covers the same environments as the Amazon listing but adds terrain specifics: city streets, dangerous swamps, crowded beaches, and suburbs. However, both pages were written in Portuguese and have since been altered, so the wording differences between the two could reflect individual copywriting choices or translation rather than access to different source material from Rockstar.

Rockstar has not confirmed GTA 6 map details

Neither listing came from Rockstar directly. The developer has released no official map for GTA 6 and has provided no figures on total land area. The descriptions on both the Amazon and Kabum pages were written by retailers, and the accuracy of marketing language from third-party copywriters is difficult to assess without official data.

For context, GTA 5 shipped with a map covering roughly 75 square kilometres at its 2013 launch. If Kabum’s description accurately reflects the actual GTA 6 map size, the sequel would surpass that figure by a meaningful margin, though without confirmed measurements from Rockstar, any comparison is speculative.

Rockstar has not commented on the retailer descriptions and has not announced a date for an official map reveal. The GTA 6 map size remains officially unconfirmed, with the retailer listings the closest thing to a public breakdown of the game’s world until the developer addresses it directly.
