Google unveiled its Google Pixel 11 lineup on Wednesday, alongside a new Pixel Watch 5 and a first-party Bluetooth tracker called the Pixel Tag. The announcements cover four new phones, a redesigned smartwatch, and Google’s answer to Apple’s AirTag and Samsung’s SmartTag.
The reveal lands a month after Samsung’s own hardware event and roughly a month before Apple typically holds its September showcase. Some details leaked in advance, but Google confirmed the full lineup itself ahead of Wednesday evening’s presentation, covering pricing, specs, and release dates for every device.
The Google Pixel 11 lineup gets a new processor and camera design
Four phones make up the family: the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and Pixel 11 Pro Fold. All four share a revamped camera bar with edge-to-edge glass in a metal frame. The Pro models add a feature called HiLight, a ring of LED lights around the flash that indicates notifications. On the Pro and Pro XL, it also shows when Gemini is listening or responding.
Every model runs on Google’s new Tensor G6 chip. The company says it delivers up to 20 percent better power efficiency, 25 percent faster browsing, and 15 percent faster app loading than the Tensor G5. The chip’s image signal processor and tensor processing units are 50 percent more powerful than last year’s. Google credits that jump for low-light shots that capture up to 4.5 times faster with Instant Night Sight, plus zoom that reaches 120x on the Pro models.
Battery life extends past 30 hours on the standard phones and 24 hours on the Pro Fold, helped by adaptive battery management. A 30-minute wired charge brings the Pixel 11 or Pro to roughly 55 percent, the Pro XL to about 75 percent, and the Pro Fold to around 50 percent. An Extreme Charging Mode is available for even faster top-ups. All four phones carry an IP68 water and dust resistance rating and ship with Android 17.
Pricing climbed $100 across the board compared to the Pixel 10 generation. Google offset part of that increase by doubling base storage to 256GB on the Pixel 11 and 11 Pro. The Pro and Pro XL now start with 12GB of RAM instead of 16GB, though 16GB configurations are still available. Pre-orders open today, and shipments begin August 20.
Pixel 11 and Pro models split on screen size and zoom
The standard Pixel 11 starts at $899 for 256GB and comes in frost, pistachio, hibiscus, and obsidian. Its 6.3-inch OLED display reaches 3,000 nits. The camera array pairs a 48-megapixel main sensor with a 13-megapixel ultrawide and a 10.8-megapixel telephoto lens. That main sensor is physically larger than last year’s, with an 85-degree field of view versus 82 degrees on the Pixel 10, and zoom tops out at 30x, up from 20x.
The Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099 and the Pro XL at $1,299. Both begin with 12GB of RAM and run up to 1TB of storage, in canyon, olive, fog, or obsidian. Their displays peak at 3,600 nits, with double the scratch resistance of the previous generation, according to Google. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold starts at $1,899 and is lighter than its predecessor at 8.4 ounces. Its 6.5-inch external screen now refreshes between 1Hz and 120Hz, and the internal display is rated at 3,600 nits.
Gemini AI features expand across the new phones
Gemini Intelligence gains an AI agent that can order groceries, book rides, and call businesses on a user’s behalf. It shows a live transcript that lets the person step into the conversation at any point, and the feature launches in the US only. In the US, UK, Canada, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, and India, Gemini Intelligence can also pull context from a user’s apps, with permission, and surface information before it’s requested.
A new keyboard feature called Rambler strips filler words from voice-to-text input. Live Translate now covers voice messages, videos, and podcasts. In the camera app, Circle to Search works inside the viewfinder, and a Magic Capture mode shoots photos and video with a single tap, then automatically crops or unblurs them. Camera Looks applies HDR+ processing styled after named film looks, which Google says produces consistent results across skin tones.
One of the more notable additions is a sign-language translation feature built into Gboard and Live Transcribe, using a Google DeepMind model. It debuts with English transcriptions of American Sign Language on the Pixel 11 phones. The goal is letting deaf and hard-of-hearing users communicate through the camera without typing.
Pixel Watch 5 adds blood pressure and insulin tracking
The Pixel Watch 5 starts at $399, a $50 increase over the previous model. A Steph Curry-branded edition costs $579 and adds an exclusive band and watch face. Both the 41mm and 45mm cases get a domed Actua 360 display under Gorilla Glass. The 45mm version runs up to 40 hours per charge, or 72 hours in battery saver mode.
Google built in new health sensors beyond the existing atrial fibrillation and stress detection. The watch now tracks blood pressure patterns and insulin resistance over time, plus sleep breathing quality drawn from minute-by-minute blood oxygen readings. A Qualcomm Snapdragon W5 Gen 2 chip runs 20 percent faster than the Pixel Watch 4’s processor, and onboard storage doubles to 64GB.
A reworked Morning Brief combines sleep data with the day’s forecast. A new Readiness Score suggests whether to train or recover. Google Health Premium subscribers can access a Gemini-powered coaching tool that adjusts workout plans based on performance and schedule. The watch also runs a limited, offline version of Gemini that handles voice-controlled timers and workouts without a connection.
Pixel Tag joins the Android Find Hub network
The $30 Pixel Tag is Google’s first Bluetooth tracker carrying its own branding. It’s built into the Android Find Hub network that already supports third-party trackers. Users can locate a tag and trigger a ring tone through a Pixel Watch or through Gemini on Pixel Buds. Beyond Bluetooth, the Tag includes an ultra-wideband chip for more precise, directional finding.
Measuring 1.8 inches tall and 1.1 inches wide, the Tag weighs 0.4 ounces with its coin cell battery installed. It’s rated to survive a meter of water for 30 minutes. Google says the battery should last about a year before it needs replacing, and the device works with any phone running Android 9 or later.
Google also refreshed its earbuds lineup alongside the new devices. Pixel Buds Pro 2 is getting an olive colorway to match the phones and watch. Both the Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a gain deeper Gemini integration, including voice-controlled EQ changes, and Pixel Buds Pro 2 gains dynamic active noise cancellation as well.
Every device announced Wednesday is available for pre-order now. The Pixel 11 phones and Pixel Watch 5 begin shipping August 20, giving Google roughly a month’s head start on the market before Apple’s expected fall event and Samsung’s next round of hardware.
