Xbox has revealed the full lineup of Xbox Game Pass August games, and the headline addition arrives as a beta rather than a finished release. The open beta for Gears of War: E-Day runs from August 6 to August 10. It is open to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers, as well as anyone who has pre-ordered the game.
The beta lands alongside ten other titles joining the service across console, cloud, and PC over the following two weeks. Microsoft also confirmed four games leaving Game Pass midway through the month. In total, eleven titles are set to join the service across the first three weeks of August alone.
Xbox Game Pass August games joining this month
Monsters are Coming! and PowerWash Simulator 2 both arrive on August 6 across cloud, console, and PC. Both titles were already included with Game Pass Premium, the mid-tier plan below Ultimate. They now extend to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass as well. Bounty Star, Date Everything!, and Grounded 2 follow the same pattern on August 11, with Grounded 2 entering as a Game Preview title.
Ball x Pit joins on August 12, also expanding from Game Pass Premium. A cluster of releases lands on August 13, including Cricket 26 and Mio: Memories in Orbit. Sandustry, a game about exploring and mining fully destructible worlds, also arrives that day. It enters Game Preview exclusively on PC Game Pass and Game Pass Ultimate, so console subscribers won’t get access at launch. Egging On closes out the run on August 18.
Games leaving Game Pass on August 15
Four titles exit the service partway through the month: Menace, still in Game Preview on PC, along with Atlas Fallen, Aliens: Fireteam Elite, and Firewatch. The latter three were available across cloud, console, and PC before their removal. Subscribers who want to finish them have until August 15 to do so.
The changes follow April’s price cut to Xbox’s subscription tiers. Game Pass Ultimate now costs $22.99 per month in the US and £16.99 in the UK, down from $29.99 and £22.99. PC Game Pass dropped to $13.99 from $16.49, or £10.99 from £13.49 in the UK. Those lower prices remain in place as the Xbox Game Pass August games catalog rotates.
