Sony has unveiled a limited-edition Marvel’s Wolverine hardware line for the PlayStation 5, giving fans a themed way to pick up the upcoming game. The Wolverine PS5 bundle pairs a yellow-and-black console with a matching controller and console covers, and pre-orders open on 19th August.
Marvel’s Wolverine is in development at Insomniac Games, the studio behind Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Sony has used past PlayStation exclusives to sell similarly themed hardware before.
This lineup follows that pattern well ahead of a confirmed release date. It gives early adopters a way to show support before the game arrives.
The announcement comes through the PlayStation Blog, which laid out pricing for every piece of the lineup. Sony is selling the full console bundle alongside standalone covers and DualSense pads. Buyers who already own a PS5 can pick up individual accessories instead of the whole package.
What comes with the Wolverine PS5 bundle
The core package bundles a PS5 Digital Edition console finished in Wolverine’s yellow-and-black color scheme. It also includes a matching DualSense controller and a digital code for Marvel’s Wolverine.
Sony designed the covers with transparent claw marks across the shell. That detail stands out more than the small Wolverine artwork tucked into the top corner. Both PS5 Slim and PS5 Pro cover options are available for players who want the look without buying a new console outright.
Pricing for the console covers and controllers
Beyond the bundle, Sony is offering the covers and controller as standalone purchases in two finishes. One is the yellow Battle Yellow design, and the other is a metallic silver Adamantium version inspired by Wolverine’s claws. Pricing breaks down as follows:

Every item in the Wolverine PS5 bundle goes up for pre-order on 19th August, 2026, through Sony’s usual retail channels. The silver Adamantium finish is not currently listed for the standard PS5 cover, only the PS5 Pro version and matching controller. Buyers with a base PS5 have fewer color choices than those who already upgraded to the Pro model.
Sony has not announced a release date for Marvel’s Wolverine itself beyond the game code included in the Wolverine PS5 bundle. The hardware is arriving well ahead of the title it’s themed around.
