Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Zombies is unleashing a hefty Season 3 update on April 2, packing in new maps, modes, and rewards. The undead-slaying action is getting a shake-up, with even more content dropping during the mid-season “Reloaded” update.

What’s new at launch?

The highlight is the Ashwood Survival map, set in the central area of Ashes of the Damned. Players start in Rabbit Alley, clearing out a zombie infestation at the Power Pump. Survive, and you’ll unlock access to the Pack-a-Punch Machine, Der Wunderfizz, and the Mystery Box. Fog Zombies now guard the ground floor, forcing players to fight smart if they want to upgrade weapons beneath Ashwood.

Rewards for surviving Ashwood include an emblem, weapon charm, and GobbleGum. The classic 1911 pistol also returns as a Weekly Challenge reward, complete with its rocket-launching Pack-a-Punch upgrade-nostalgia with a bang.

Starting Room mode is dropping in too. Here, every door stays locked, trapping players in the map’s starting area. There’s no escape, no exfil-just pure survival for as long as you can hold out.

The new Zombie Battle mode adds a PvP twist to the usual PvE chaos. Four players compete to outlast each other against relentless zombie hordes. Outgun your rivals and the undead, or get devoured trying.

Mid-season brings Totenreich and more

The mid-season “Reloaded” update introduces Totenreich, a round-based story map set in a Norwegian fishing town warped by Group 935’s Dark Aether experiments. Expect a fresh chapter in the BO7 Zombies storyline, with new secrets and challenges lurking in the fog.

Also coming mid-season: the Wild Fire Field Upgrade. This lets players imbue themselves with fire, boosting speed and burning any zombie that gets too close. The Ion Core Scorestreak joins the arsenal too-a radioactive device that damages enemies in a wide area, with pulses that pass through walls and expand before fading. It’ll cost 1,500 Salvage to deploy.

Limited-time events and new features

Season 3 is stacking up with limited-time modes and events. Survivors of Ash (Zombies) offers weapon camos and blueprints as rewards, while The Lost Outpost (all modes) lets players earn the Strider 300 sniper rifle, more camos, blueprints, and an operator skin.

For players struggling with the Paradox Junction quest, Directed Mode is now available. This feature guides players through the quest and unlocks special rewards for those who stick with it.

The bottom line

  • Season 3 launches April 2 with new maps, modes, and rewards.
  • Mid-season update brings Totenreich, Wild Fire upgrade, and Ion Core Scorestreak.
  • Classic 1911 pistol returns as a challenge reward.
  • Limited-time events offer exclusive camos, blueprints, and weapons.

Whether you’re chasing high rounds or just want to flex your skills in the new PvP Zombie Battle, BO7 Zombies Season 3 is stacked with reasons to jump back in and start blasting.
