Capcom has just dropped the launch trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection, revealing exciting new details ahead of the game’s release on Switch 2 next week. The trailer offers a glimpse of fresh story elements and monster encounters, setting the stage for the next chapter in this beloved RPG spin-off series.

Along with the trailer, Capcom announced a range of save data unlocks for returning players. If you have save data from the original Monster Hunter Stories, you’ll unlock the Hakum Rider Outfit. Those with data from Monster Hunter Stories 2 get the Mahana Rider Outfit, while Monster Hunter Rise veterans receive the Kamura Garb. Updating your game and having system data from “the Wilds” grants the Hope Layered Armor Set. Plus, linking your copy of Monster Hunter Stories 3 to your Capcom ID unlocks Rudy’s Catcom Works outfit.

Launch festivities also include free DLC. Players can grab the Gold Circlet accessory (headgear) and Simon’s Wind Wyvern’s Friend layered armor. Preorders add another treat: Eleanor’s Skyscale Queen layered armor. While these extras are purely cosmetic, they let you showcase your hunter style right from day one.

If you’re still undecided, a demo for Monster Hunter Stories 3: Twisted Reflection is available now on the Switch eShop. It offers a sneak peek at the new world and gameplay mechanics ahead of the full launch on March 13, 2026.

Anime Trailer Incoming

Capcom isn’t stopping with just the game. An anime trailer is on the horizon, promising to explore the protagonist’s childhood and present original stories not featured in the game. Expect deeper world-building and a closer look at the Rangers’ adventures.

With the Switch 2 launch window, Monster Hunter Stories 3 is set to attract both longtime fans and newcomers alike. Save data rewards and free DLC add extra value, while the upcoming anime aims to expand the universe beyond the game.
