Nintendo held its latest Nintendo Indie World showcase on October 28. Among the dates announced, Witchbrook, the magical town-building social sim, now has a firm release date of January 28 on Switch and Switch 2.
The stream ran through 16 featured games plus a closing montage. Several titles got dates for early next year, and a handful of demos went live on the eShop the same day.
Release dates from the Nintendo Indie World stream
Slime Rancher 2 comes to Switch 2 in January. Meanwhile, Super Battle Golf lands on Switch 2 on March 25 and puts up to eight players on a course armed with weapons like rocket launchers. Dumpster Gang, a four-player game about raccoons dodging animal control, also arrives on Switch 2 in March.
Spirit Crossing, the MMO life sim from the makers of Cozy Grove, launches November 16 on Switch and Switch 2 as a console exclusive. Raccoin: Chaos Max Edition, a coin pusher roguelike with mouse controls, hits Switch 2 on November 10. Toot Games brings its comedy puzzler My Arms Are Longer Now to both systems on March 11.
Petal Runner, a Game Boy-style RPG about life and loss, follows on Switch 2 on March 8. Sword of the Sea launches sooner than any other Nintendo Indie World game, on October 29, and Nintendo showed it with a short trailer set in a desert level.
Games due later in 2027
City of None, a puzzle-platformer from a co-creator of Celeste, is coming to Switch and Switch 2 next year. Deepnight Games, led by a lead designer from Dead Cells, showed Tenjutsu, an anime-inspired roguelike brawler for Switch 2 next year.
Threads of Time takes its cues from SNES-era Final Fantasy and targets next summer on both consoles. Kitsune: The Journey of Adashino, an adventure set in a fantasy version of Japan, is due on Switch 2 next spring. Co-op horror game R.E.P.O., where players pull valuables out of procedurally generated haunted houses, also comes to Switch 2 next year.
Winds of Viridia, an open-world action survival game, got a demo on showcase day, with the full release planned for early next year.
Demos available now
Players can download demos for Winds of Viridia, Petal Runner and Raccoin: Chaos Max Edition today. Haunted Paws, a two-player co-op game about puppies rescuing someone from a haunted mansion, also has a demo out on Switch and Switch 2.
